Lara george Ft. Chinyere udoma

What do you guys think? your guess is as good as mine.
i have been thinking about this in the Nigeria gospel music industry.

what do you think of a collabo between Lara George and Chinyere Udoma. Lara bringing that contemporary flavour of her kind of music, with that polished high pitched harmonious voice to do a song with the popular traditional gospel music sensation chinyere with the whole ‘chinyere udoma’ swagger that comes with it. What a mixture contemporary and traditional gospel music can you imagine the kind of music that will be, let be guess trado-contempro gospel music. what ever you want to call it, i think heaven will enjoy it and the angels will be happy with it. But the question may be, in what language will the song be done? well i guess every one should sing in the language they will be most fluent, that means Lara will sing either in English or Yoruba and Chinyere will sing in Igbo and may be English. But who will produce this block buster music and how is the soundtrack going to sound, like Lara’s or like Chinyere’s , i don’t know, I leave that to you to decide.i think the producer will sought that out. what else do you think will be a problem? please feel free to comment. I think its time gospel artists start coming together to do things like this. so that we can bridge the divide between the traditional gospel artists and the contemporary gospel acts.

i thinkheaven will be alright if we look into this matter. meanwhile get ready for another poosible collabo soon.

The hotest duo in gospel Hiphop

The duo now known as God’s Own Radicals was formed in 2001 when three young undergraduates of the then Ogun State University now known as Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago – Iwoye, Ogun State in the South – Western part of Nigeria met at a local fellowship. They had in common a passion for hip-hop and rap music and observed there was a vacuum in this genre of music in their environment.
The Trio of Daddy D, Don – L and Donna –T started out by miming songs of foreign rap and hip- hop artistes and progressed into writing, composing and arranging their own material and ministering in their local fellowship and at other concerts in and around the University environment. The moniker: God’s Own Radicals came up as a result of the fact that at the time they started rap was not popular as a genre of gospel or contemporary Christian music as it was seen as too secular. Thus stepping out and doing something against the established norms made them radicals of some sort.
God’s Own Radicals is now left with Don – L and Donna – T as Daddy withdrew from the group upon his graduation from the University. Together they have continued to record songs working with producers like the award winning Biglo, Pagag McOyett, E Twinz, JayStunt, Kayode Omotade, 2009 Channel O Music Video Awards nominee The Dream, Bisi Akins amongst others and shot their first promotional video: Praise Him directed by 2009 NMVA nominee Ak One which received generous airplay on stations around the country and on the continent on both Terrestrial and Satellite Platforms.
They have also shot a second video for the song titled Omo Naija. Shot at the impressive Nike Art Centre in Lekki, Lagos Nigeria. The video centres on the Positive nature of Nigerians, the unbending and never say die spirit shared by this great country that is home to over 150 million people.
God’s Own Radicals employ a sound that is distinctly Nigerian with thumping drumlins and driving beats as well as the use of indigenous languages along with the English language in their songs. The songs cover a wide range of subjects with emphasis on the praise of the Most High God as well as the daily living. Now married to each other, Don – L and Donna – T are determined to keep spreading the Word to the ends of the earth. This they do by ministering in churches, concerts and events around the country. God’s Own Radicals can be followed on and on social network sites and

Lara VS Chinyere Collabo

hello God’s people! what do you guys think of a collabo between these two?

Introduction… Lara George is the latest gospel female sensation in the contemporary gospel industry with a song that reaps your heart apart called ijoba orun. she has this heaven sent voice that runs deep into you and leaves you gasping for breathe. On the other hand is Chinyere Udoma, her first popular album ‘Agu nechemba’, took the Igbo gospel scene by storm and since then she has been releasing chart busting music. she is famous for the way she displays her heart felt love for God in her dance and song. They are from the two worlds that have been doing gospel music for a long time now.

Now what do you guys think of a collabo between these women who do God’s song in different but the same way. A music that will have the local Igbo flavour plus the local yoruba flavour and spiced by the contemporary touch of modern music. That would be quite a musical recipe, wouldn’t it? and who shall do us the favour of cooking the beat, i actually don’t have a good guess, but please leave suggestions and comments after reading. And we would like to know what the artists think. Aunty Lara would like to do a collabo with Chinyere? sister Chinyere would you like to do a collabo with Lara and In case both of you have not heard you individual music, do that beforeI raise Alarm. OK I won’t do that. but i think it is time to bridge the gap between these two genres of gospel music. Moreover this would be away of reaching out to more fans and lovers of God’s music. this should be what Alaba should be thinking, those mongers… you guys should be creative ehm. You are always waiting for us to bring the song and you will reap us off. thank God For Sorfote.
Till i come your way again. tell me what you think.

whats happening with sammie

HOT!!! KISS, ozy knows how to do this thing very well.
our gospel singing sensation Sammie Okposo Was Arrested In Scotland for what he described as racial discrimination. After enjoying that HOT KISS on their wedding day, only to fall into the hands of zealous law enforcers in scotland. what kind of turn of event is this. they went for honey moon in scotland and ended up in Bitter Moon.

Nigerian gospel singer and Glo ambassador, Sammie Okposo, has described his arrest in Aberdeen, Scotland during his honeymoon as an unfortunate incident, claiming that he was a victim of circumstance.

•Sammie Okposo

The multiple award-winning singer reiterated that he was surprised with the manner at which the Scottish Police handled the minor issue that should have been resolved amicably.

Explaining how the whole scenario happened, the Welu-Welu crooner’s Publicists, Media & Marketing Experts, MME, said “Sammie and his newly wedded wife, Ozioma in the company of their friends, Mr. and Mrs. Efemua, also Nigerians, had gone to a restaurant known as Jimmy Chung’s on Aberdeen’s Beach Esplanade to attend to their noisy stomach. They arrived at the restaurant at exactly 4.30pm but they were not aware that lunch time closes by 5pm. One of the attendants announced to them few minutes later that they have to rush their food and leave the restaurant before 5pm or else they will be charged for both lunch and dinner. At this point, Sammie was already dishing the food while the rest were sorting out where they would sit.

“The statement immediately resulted in a mild argument. They questioned the attendant why she had not informed them when they arrived; probably they would have waited till 5pm before they settle down in the restaurant. The argument attracted the attention of the manager of the restaurant identified as Ronny Shui Hung Yung who aggravated the issue the more and another lady went ahead to drag Sammie’s shirt and ordered him to stop dishing the food.

“But Sammie took it easy and told her politely that she shouldn’t have pulled his shirt. At this point, the manager of the restaurant was already harassing Sammie’s wife and pregnant wife of his friend, Eloho Efemua who happens to be the younger sister of popular Nigerian actor, Fred Amata.”

P. M NEWS gathered that when Sammie turned back after the violent attendant pulled his shirt, he realised that the manager was harassing his wife and Eloho, he immediately warned him to desist from the act.

“But when the manager didn’t stop, Sammie who was very shocked and displeased told the manager that he should make sure his fingers doesn’t touch his wife and that if he is tired of running this kind of restaurant, he should return to his country.

“Immediately Sammie made this statement, the manager wrote down Sammie’s friend car plate number and called the police to report a racial statement being made against him. Having realsed he had called the police, Sammie urged his wife including the other couple that they should wait for the police arrival and thrash out the issue once and for all,” MME explained.

Meanwhile, when the police arrived about 30 minutes later, it was gathered that they didn’t ask the Nigerian couples any question before taking them to the police station.

Speaking for the first time on the incident, Sammie Okposo who is now in Lagos, Nigeria said: “It is true they took us to their police station without listening to our own side of the story, but we played along with them as a good and law abiding citizens of Nigeria. After the court in Aberdeen did a thorough check on me on all the countries I have visited, they said my record is clean and impeccable. I was released the next day without making any official statement.

“But if the manager of the restaurant presses the issue further and it results in a court case, my lawyer in Scotland, Michael Munro will handle it. I don’t regret my actions for speaking up against bad and rude behaviours from the staff of Jimmy Chung Restaurant and defending my wife as a true African man.”

In her own words, the new bride of Okposo, Ozioma, said: “We could have afforded to go to anywhere in the world for our honeymoon, but we chose to visit Aberdeen because of all the good things we had heard. We have been emotional, mentally, financially, and physically drained on this trip, which brings us to one conclusion that going to Aberdeen for our honeymoon was the biggest mistake we ever make in our marriage.”

Lara”s life

Ex- Kush girl, Lara George, has revealed her best kept secret; how her husband toasted her right in church!
In a chat with Sunday Sun, Lara, who is happily married to the man of her dreams and is blessed with a son recounted:

“We worked in the same place and attended the same church, House on The Rock. Of course he made the first move. He used to eye me like ‘who is that fine babe.’

He capitalized on an emotional moment in my life when I had some issues at work. Things were not going on well and I was worried. He would encourage me. I did not know that at that point, he had a hidden agenda.

He sneaked his way into being my friend and from there, it went from friendship to ‘are you sure we shouldn’t be more than just friends?’ And before I knew it, he was popping the question-would you marry me?

Rest Here….Enjoy!

lara was on a TV programm lately and she waooohed us there

Let me also register the presence of the latest gospel sensation on our blog. Her name is Minister Onos (that’s the way we call it in the gospel music ministry, it is a ministry not only an industry). She has since released her album and its doing fine, but not as much as we would have wanted. All you christian folks, go out their a get her CD. Get ready for the next publication because it will very broad in information delivery.

Lately i have been talking with some of the gospel entertainment practitioners, and its quite amazing the revelations i got from them. A producer who owns a studio in lekki area of Lagos, decried the behaviour of some gospel artists. He said ‘gospel artist should stop Straffing them themselves’ i got confused, and started asking ‘ which one is ”straffing” well the other artists that where their gave me a quizzical look that sounds like ‘are you new here?’ they made me understanding that straffing means sex. Well if that is true then it is a big problem, i have since then heard different kind of stories, but that does not mean that the industry is that bad. I think that there are spirit filled people who want to do music for God. let quickly tell the gospel folks out there that our ministry is quite unique unlike our contemporaries in the secular music, they can do some things and get away with it but you can’t, it will make big news and smear the name of the church.

I and my friends have been watching the gospel music industry in Nigeria. and what we see is not encouraging. the growth of the secular music industry has been tremendous in the last 10 years there has been a lot of blow ups with alot of the secular artists doing so well even in the international see, their names on the lips of every body. even though the gospel guys are more talented ,they make little of the money and the fame. unlike the industry in the US, gospel artists in the US are very popular and their music widely known all over the world even in AFRICA.

i believe in the gospel music industry and i know that we can be better. but we have to help our selves build the industry. thank GOD FOR what Globacom is doing with the indigenouse artists. their face and music is sen and heard all over NIGERIA courtesy;Globacom. we want to encourage other multinationals to imitate them.
as for the Gospel music industry, you can barely count the well know Gospel artist in nigeria, even some of them are not known in certain parts of the country unlike the secular one, no wonder almost every music talent in Nigeria wants to go secular.
some of the gospel artists in nigeria are;

SINACH,FRANK EDWARDS, BUCHI, JAHDIEL,BOUQUI, Midnight Crew ,ETC, they are many nore some more popular others less popular, even though it is a ministry, it has to be business also. we really want to see these artist take their rightful place in the industry.

we want to use this opportunity to thank believers love world for establishing a recording company that has realy help to boost the gospel music act, infact, 60-70% of contemporary recording gospel artists in NIGERIA are from CHRIST EMBASSY, because of the recording company. w want to encourage the church to support this ministry by imitating this gesture.
ALSO A WORD TO THE PASTORS. please pay gospel artists when they come to perfom in your church,it is biblical, they are the levites, you are the priest.
till we meet again. GOD BLESS YOU>
